How to add your business
- Fill in the form below. It takes a minute. Tell us if you offer anything the community specifically looks for, like a halal menu, female-only service, or reduced pricing for people in need. If you would rather email, muslimsofcolumbia@gmail.com works too.
- Someone calls you. A volunteer rings the number you gave to make sure it reaches you. This is the only way a directory stays worth using.
- A brother or sister vouches. Every listing needs someone in the community who knows you. If you are new here, the masjid can help with that.
- It goes live. Your listing appears on this site and in the next printed edition.
Something wrong on your listing?
Email muslimsofcolumbia@gmail.com. Wrong number, moved location, business closed, or you would rather not be listed at all: all of it gets handled, and removal is never a debate.
About the tags
Tags like Halal menu, Male/female separation and Halal financing are reported by each business about itself. This directory passes on what a business tells us. It does not inspect, certify or vouch for halal status, and it is not a substitute for asking the owner yourself.
One tag says No pork, not zabiha. That distinction was made deliberately by the people who built the original directory, and it is kept exactly as they wrote it.
Advertising
Businesses can pay for a larger placement in the printed edition and a highlighted spot on the website. A paid placement never changes where a business appears in search results or how it is ordered on the page.
Funds collected for sponsored ads are used to cover costs and grow the project for the benefit of the community.
Your information
Everything on a listing is published publicly on the open web and in print. Only send contact details you are happy for anyone to see. Home addresses are not published. If you run your business from home, list a phone number and a service area instead.
Get listed
Nothing here goes on the site straight away. It reaches the committee as a business to call, and somebody rings the number you give to confirm it first.
